The Bowery

Aside from the Bowl or Runyon Canyon, I have little to no incentive to hang out in Hollywood. The traffic (both car and foot) is horrendous, parking is messy, and quite frankly, there isn't much to see or do there for tourists and locals alike. There are a few redeeming qualities though, like say, a small gastropub called The Bowery.

The thing to order here is the Bowery Burger. While I can't agree it's the "best burger in LA," I can vouch that a medium burger with the works (Gruyere, sauteed mushrooms, avocado, bacon) hits the spot.  Don't forget your side of sweet potato fries! Everything else on the menu is sub-par and overpriced. Also, keep your group small (4 max) - it's not conducive to big group dining.

White Bean Hummus & Green Lentil Falafel w/ feta, cucumber, red onion, and herb salad - $12.50

Famous Bowery Burger (8 oz. Sirloin burger) on a toasted English muffin with Gruyere cheese and bacon - $9.50; crispy sweet potato fries - $3.00

Three Seasoned Sirloin Sliders with house aioli - $12.00; side of asparagus - $3.00
