Give Thanks

EDIT: Silly me, I forgot the most important part: I'm berry berry thankful for you!! Thanks for reading and enjoying. :)

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year.
It's a time where friends, family, loved ones, even strangers come together around a communal table (literal or figurative) to share blessings and feast on a delicious meal. Worries are cast aside, if even for a minute. Shopping lists aren't fully formulated,  or even if they are, they're not poured over with anxiety. You simply eat, rest, and share laughs in good company.

But not everyone is so lucky. Not everyone has a home to go to, a family to call their own, or food or drink to fill their empty stomachs. So for those of us who are lucky beyond realization, let's give back. Here are many options in LA: phiLAnthropist; CBS; NBC.

We should always be mindful of the meaning of Thanksgiving, but the fact is, because we're "too busy" being self-absorbed, we often forget that giving thanks should be a daily habit and not one designated to one particular holiday or season. Let's aim to be more mindful and more thankful this new year.
