Amsterdam

Amsterdam, aka - capital of Holland or the Netherlands, aka - Home to the Heineken, as well as to beautiful canals, and the infamous, well-known "coffee shops" and Red Light District: Hallo!

I just spent one weekend in Den Haag and Amsterdam, and sadly, neither city really satisfied me with any foodie highlights.  Still, I shall share with you some of the delightful things I did have the pleasure to eat.

Overall, I found a greater liking for the Hague than for Amsterdam.  Perhaps my experience would have been different if I had spent more time in "coffee shops," or did more research on local eateries.  It was still a great trip, organized by a great programme, and shared with great folks.  Dank je wel!
