Hae Jang Chon KBBQ

When one of my newest friends told me she had never had Korean BBQ before, I made it my own personal mission to ensure she experienced it soon and well.  But rather going to the more well-known places in Koreatown, we went to Hae Jang Chon, a relatively newer, but very popular place.

In short, it is like any other AYCE KBBQ place, except: it's cleaner; it's better ventilated; there are great meat selections; service is more attentive; servers speak English; and there is kimchi fried rice at the end!  HJC has become one of my favorite KBBQ places.  Maybe it'll become yours too.  Go there to get satisfy your carnivorous cravings.

A glimpse of some of the ban chans:

Marinated fish cakes with green peppers

Julienned slices of tangy, seasoned turnips
The main event:

Samgyupsal and squid

location: Koreatown
hours: Everyday, 11:00 AM - 2:00 AM
websites: { HJC | yelp }
attire: Casual
parking: street or lot ($2 valet); located in a strip mall
notes: It's all-you-can-eat, but make sure to leave some room for the kimchi fried rice at the end!  Unfortunately, not great for groups larger than 8, but I'm sure they'll do whatever they can to manage.
