Five Guys

This blog might as alternatively be named "Doah's Hungry... and a Fatty."  Don't worry, I didn't toss my health kick out the window for good.  It's just that during stressful times, a little carb/ fat loading is totally justified.  So when I learned that Five Guys finally made its way to LA, I had to check it out.

This fast-food joint keeps it pretty simple.  Here are the things you need to know before ordering:
Burger or hot dog?
Reg burger (two patties) or a "Little Burger" (one patty)?
What toppings?  "All the way" means ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms.
Fries (reg or cajun) or drink?
Boom.  Order complete.

But the question still remains?
"It is the best burger of LA?"
My answer: No.

Double the trouble.
That said, it still is a legit burger that reminds me a lot of a charbroiled homemade burger made in the comforts of your backyard.  It's heartier than an In N Out burger, but also greasier and not as fresh.  But naturally, I finished off my double-patty, double-cheese burger of goodness with lettuce, tomato, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapenos without a hitch.

Overall, it's a good burger to grab for less than $10.
If you're still hungry after a cheeseburger, you are a beast... and can always get a pizookie at the nearby BJ's.  Just sayin'.
