Although my fave a la carte KBBQ place is still Soowon, I think Road to Seoul may be my new go-to for AYCE KBBQ. Here's why...
1. RtS has a great array of well-prepared banchan (Korean side dishes). I was thoroughly impressed with the taste of each side dish. Nothing was overly sweet or salty, and they were all readily replenished throughout our meal.

Sukjunamul - Bean sprout side dish |
Moo saeng chae - thinly sliced pickled radish |
Bin dae dduk - Korean scallion pancake |
2. RtS' selection of meats is extensive and of the ones we tried, everything was so well-marinated and tender! Notwithstanding the chiming bells and hustle-bustle, I almost forgot I was eating at a AYCE place!

After 10 orders of meat (which pretty much amounts to a small cow), 2 rounds of side dishes, and having some difficulty with breathing, three ladies finally called it a night. Road to Seoul, I shall return again... just not anything soon for the sake of my heart's well being.

Arrive early to avoid long lines. Also, don't wear your favorite cashmere sweater -- the charcoal fire makes the smoke extra smoky (and the grilled meat extra delicious).
