This place is also special in my heart because it was the first restaurant I checked out by myself to review. Funny thing is when I busted out my Moleskine to start taking some notes, the waitress became much more attentive, although everyone was very nice from the start. Moral of the century: Moleskines > iPads.

This place fared extremely well in my book of dining experiences: fresh atmosphere, super nice servers, cool, but not overly trendy or pretentious patrons (which was rather surprising given it's on Melrose Ave.), great locale, and delicious food. They even had dog bowls of water for thirsty doggies -- bonus point!
