Yang Chow

On plate: Slippery Shrimp; Slippery Chicken; Szechuan Beef w/ Broccoli; Sauteed Green Beans w/ Chicken; Mixed Veggies; steamed white rice

"Yang Chow's. Have you been to Yang Chow's? You gotta go to Yang Chow's."
Three months ago, I had never even heard of the restaurant, but after hearing some rave reviews from some reliable sources, I knew I had to check it out.

Today was finally Yang Chow Day. I left the ordering to the regulars who were clearly prepared with a list of go-to dishes. In short, I was not disappointed.

I'm not quite sure what is in the Slippery Shrimp (or why it's even called that), but the crunch of the batter + the sweet and tangy sauce really accentuates the flavor of the shrimp (in a good way). Order it and see for yourself! It's a lot more appetizing than it sounds.

Big portions (great for family-style dining); food isn't not too greasy or salty; good Chinese food not in SGV!
