La Provence Patisserie

From back to front: Lavender; Caramel; Hazelnut (all winners) - $2, each

Bonjour, les macarons très mignon et délicieux! (Hello, very cute and delicious macaroons!)
Step aside, frozen yogurt. LA's new craze now comes in a completely different form.

So, among the notables, there's Paulette's, Bottega Louie, MILK (w/ ice cream macaroon sandwiches), and of course, the macaroon queen of them all, Laduree. And a worthy addition to the mix: La Provence Patisserie.

Per a friend's recommendation, I checked out the Brentwood location with high expectations. To my relief, those high expectations were readily met. The quaintly-decorated cafe is good for a quick bite or a lengthy catch-up sesh with your buddies over coffee or tea. Though I can't speak for the food or even the other cakes and dessert dishes, the macaroons are a two-thumbs up.
