Ricky's Fish Tacos

Here's the thing.  If you're craving Ensenada-style fish tacos, you go to Ricky's Fish Tacos.  It's all quite simple, really.  Flour tortilla, generous filet of battered fish (or shrimp), shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and a choice of four different sauces that you can drizzle on to your heart's content.

There's nothing fancy about this place, which makes it even more likeable.  The main focus is TACOS, BABY!  And tacos, they do damn well.

Tents, tables, chairs, trash cans. No signs.

Keep it simple.

Sauces! (L-R: Crema, Salsa Verde, Salsa Roja, Mystery)

Fresh pico de gallo.

I drizzled some crema and some salsa roja.

Fresh fish fried in a batter that has a slight kick. Best of all, the batter is crispy and the fish is soft.  Beautiful.

Enjoyed my tacos with an Einstok Icelandic White Ale (BYOB).

Ricky's takes the prize for best fish tacos in LA.  If you haven't tried them, do yourself a favor and try them out.  If and when you do go, please give me a holler!  It's always a good time at Ricky's.
