If there is one place in all of London where I can easily spend hours without a second thought, it would be
Borough Market. The place is not only a hungry man's heaven on earth, but a foodie's ultimate playground. It is, undoubtedly, a place you must visit if you're ever in the area. In short, it is LIT-rilly one of my favorite places in this fine city. And if you scroll down, you will see why.

Why wouldn't you want to inhale this in one bite? (that is, if you aren't vegetarian) |

It took much self control to take pictures while devouring/ inhaling this deliciousness. |

Still not convinced? Then the only explanation to that is that my photos cannot give the market (and Jubilee Market that is also part of Borough, as a whole) justice. Even if you are against engaging in "touristy" things, I guarantee that a trip to Borough (which is arguably not a "tourist trap" to begin with) will lift your spirits and enlighten your senses... all in a good way. Do your appetite a favor and go explore Borough.
cuisine: you name it; they've probably got it. Think of your local, glorified open-air Farmer's Market... with more stalls serving better foods.

notes: Try to get there early to beat the rush. Going right before closing can also be a plus as vendors may be selling last minute products at half-price, but you also run the risk of all the good stuff being already sold out. Wearing stretchy pants and comfy shoes may also help. You will thank me later. Enjoy!
