The Breakfast Club

One thing I told myself I would never compromise in London is a good brunch.  Thanks to good friends who understand my unwillingness to settle, I found myself enjoying my first brunch at a quaint and reliable place called The Breakfast Club.

The food and beverage menu is quite extensive with a good selection for all.  Their coffee and Bloody Marys are especially delicious.

Simple Latte

Fantastic Bloody Mary
Huevos Rancheros (fried eggs, refried beans, chorizo, guac, sour cream, tortilla)

Chorizo is soon becoming my new BFF.  And the chorizo they have here is a perfect balance of salt and heat.  Delish.

Green Eggs & Ham (eggs scrambled with ham, chives, cream cheese and served with house fries)

The Green Eggs & Ham dish was less impressive (had to pile on the ketchup and Tabasco), though I'm convinced they used at least four eggs -- the food was never-ending!

Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs with capers

And last but not least, the smoked salmon.  Londoners, sure love their smoked salmon, and because they do, they prepare it well.  Well done.

In many ways, TBC's food was reminiscent of the wonderful brunch offerings of LA.  In other words, it was a nice break from the typical English breakfast -- which I don't hate, but can't really bring myself to love.

TBC has multiple locations in Hoxton, Angel, and SoHo.  If you're needing some comfort food well into the night in a cozy and snug place, TBC is just the place for you.

TBC is a club I'm willing to be a member of.  'Till next time!
