Amandine Patisserie

Amandine, a cafe+bakery owned by a sweet Japanese family, is one of my favorite places on the Westside to work/ study. Free wi-fi, great selection of teas, and just take a look at the wide array of freshly-baked pastries that you can choose from! If you're not a sweet-tooth kind of person, they offer a respectable list of brunch and lunch options too. Best of all, there's a nice patio out back.

Banana Chocolate Danish
Beneath the lightly toasted almond slices and powdered sugar lay a creme-like banana filling with just the right amount of melted chocolate, all snugly baked in a multi-layer pastry. Ask them to heat it up quickly so you eat it warm.

Pastry and a pot of green tea. Parfait! ("perfect" in French)
