How To Throw An Amazing Brunch

Waffles? What waffles? Pass me the chicken wings, sistah!

a) Invite cool and fun people.
b) Have delicious food (the more homemade, the better!)
c) Leave all your worries, anxieties, and obligations at the door.
d) Chill, relax, laugh, enjoy.
e) All the above.

Fortunately for me, the answer has always been E. Today was no different. After nearly four months of being our busy selves, the old W&C crew (plus a couple of honorary friends -- hi Marissa and Jenny! ;)) reunited and boy, did it feel good! Here's a glimpse of the glorious food we shoveled in our mouths... daintily, of course.

First, a diabetic's nightmare...

Walnut Tarts (a family recipe... one that I need!)

Paradise Bars (chewy, caramely, pecan & coconut goodness in square form)

Oatmeal Coconut Butterscotch Chip Cookies

Lemon Poppy & Blueberry Muffins

Rice Krispie Treats

Red Velvet Cupcakes (off-white frosting = homemade recipe; white frosting = Betty Crocker)

We had the usual brunch choices too!

Waffle Bar (that actually went untouched. I think all the fruit scared people away ;))

Veggie Quiche (very tasty, Sobi!)

Uh oh, whose hand is that and what is she reaching for?
Caught, red-handed.

Carrot Cake (I can be a baker, but I could never be a cake-decorator... ick)
Congrats to T AND M!!

I'll post recipes for the red velvet cupcakes and carrot cake soon.
Thanks for being such huge fans of my baked goods. Yes, one day I will open up a bakery... one day...
